:: Batini-Noorani Bandagi Gem No. 16: How can a pious murid enter the luminosity of the Imam and the Qur'an? ::

Ya Ali Madad! This post has five parts.

Part 1. Knowledge Section on Bandagi:

In order to answer the above question, let us study the tawil of word 'Dhikrukum' (Your remembrance) :

"See the blessed words of verse (21:10): "Fihi dhikrukum":

"In it is exhortation for you";
"In it is the remembrance of ism-i a'zam for you"; and
"In it is your own remembrance provided you are successful."
When the Imam of the time grants ism-i a'zam to one of his murids, it is certainly from the holy Qur'an. The purpose of the miraculous bridge of special 'ibadat (i.e. 'ibadat of ism-i azam) is that he or she may enter the luminosity of the Imam and the Qur'an."

Teaching of Pir Hasan Kabirdin
The Holy Imam elevates his followers by blessing them with Ism-i Azam. The remembrance of this great name leads to enlightenment. In the following verse from Moti Venti, Pir Hasan Kabirdin teaches us the Great Name (Ism-i Azam) of the Lord is the key to overcome the tribulations on the road to the Eternal. The Pir also says that the Lord has innumerable names and each name has its own luminosity, power, blessing and mystery.

Eji	sâmi ati dukh chhê saragni vatmâ(n) tê tamârâ nâmthi dukh duraj thâya satgur sâheb to ek chhê tê nâm bhêdthi orakhâya mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ abarâ sharan tamâri ............................................	37
0 Lord,	Innumerable are the tribulations on the road to the Eternal, which will vanish with Your (sacred) name (ism-e azam). You are the only True Guide, known by different names and mysteries. Have mercy on me, my Lord. I am helpless and dependent on you. ........................	37

Part 2. Dhikr Section:

Let us refer to ta'wil of the word 'Ism a'zam (Supreme Name of God):

"Imam Jafar as-Sâdiq has said: "Allah has concealed one name, i.e., the supreme Name and He has 360 names." (Lughât, Sin, p. 175). The supreme Name or the great secret is in two forms: as a word and as a person. As a word, it is "al-hayy'l-qayyûm" (the Everling, the Everlasting) (2:255); 3:2) and as a person it is the True Guide, i.e., the Prophet and Imam of the time (See Wajh, p. 124-129)."

'Allahu laaa 'ilaaha 'illaa Huu 'Al-Hayyul-Qayyuum (Allah! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal) is the first sentence of Ayatul Kursi, the most important ayat of the Holy Qur'an 2:255). From Ismaili point of view, we say that the beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam is living and his Noor is eternal. Therefore, today we will implore him with this most powerful prayer: Ya Hayyul-Qayyum, Ya Aliyul Azim, Ya Sahebuz-Zaman:

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Ya Hayyul-Qayyum, Ya Aliyul Azim,
Ya Sahebuz-Zaman, Ya Hazar Imam
O The Ever-Living, The Eternal! O The Most High, The Supreme!
O Lord of the Age and Time! O our Present and Living Imam

Oh Lord	Keep the honour of me your wife Listen my respectful Husband At the feet of the Husband the wife becomes very happy and besides her the Husband is present for certain Hari You are eternal; ........................	8

Oh Lord	Through the rememberance of the Husband, the wife is saved and she overcomes the earthly limits through worship Those who served and reaped the fruits thereof are the ones who are enjoying them in the heavens Hari You are eternal; ........................	9

Let us recite angelic salwats to invoke Divine grace and mercy.

Part 5. Global Prayers and Three Grand Aspirations
Through the barakat of spiritual knowledge, tasbis and angelic salwat by many individuals of the global Jamat, O Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam, bless the global Jamat with:

Spiritual and luminous tayid (help) to advance materially, spiritually and intellectually;
Sunshine in our spiritual hearts and actualization of the inner vision of the Truth;
Empowerment to present a Material Nazrana of time, knowledge and financial resources;
Empowerment to present a Spiritual Nazrana in the form of a pure heart which is in a state of constant dhikr; and
Empowerment to present a Luminous Nazrana in the form of a sound heart (qalb-i salim) which is in a state of constant dhikr and enlightenment.
