:: Post No. 6: The Fire of Giryah-u zari ::

Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025

Ya Ali Madad! This post has three parts.

Part 1: The Fire of Giryah-u zari

"If it is accepted that the heart, like earth, yields a kind of its own product, then in order to create gardens and meadows of spiritualism, it always needs the water of faith, sincerity and love. If it is said that the heart is as hard as iron, then in order to melt it and make something useful and beauteous out of it, it needs the fire of giryah-u zâri, and real love. If the heart is supposed to be like a thing which needs to be washed over and over again, and if the heart is considered to be the ocean of life and survival and tears are considered as its pearls, then again there is is a need for the same action, i.e., giryah-u zâri, so that a befitting present of the lustrous pearls may be offered to the King of kings (our beloved Mowla).

When the heavy clouds on the shoulders of winds encircling the atmosphere cause it to rain in the spring, then on one hand there is the attractive scene of saturation and freshness in the garden, and on the other hand the beautiful string of shining and flashing pearls of watery drops on the petals of flowers and on the leaves of the trees. This is the best example of the sacred and pure tears which a mu'min shed in the sacred love of the true Imam (our beloved Mowla)."

0 Lord, You are the perfect Divine Light in unique form.
How shall I sing the praises of your exquisite beauty?
Light-borne (spiritual) maidens,
in the millions, are your (spiritual) wives.

Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you. ........................

26
Eji sāmi evi nāriyu(n) tāmāri arshniyu(n)

27
0 Lord, There are plentiful heavenly maidens
who are ravishingly beautiful.
I am naive and not very good looking.
0 my beloved, maintain my prestige.

Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you. ........................

27
Eji sāmi tamārē charanē chit cho(n)ti rahyu(n)

0 Lord, My total concentration is in your service,
so how can I associate with another.
It is my solemn desire that you
welcome me and never let go of me - even for a moment.

Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you. ........................

28
Eji sāmi lāj amāri tamē rākhajo

abarā sharan tamāri ...................................
29
0 Lord, Have mercy and protect my honour.
How can I associate with a stranger?
I have received the gift of your acceptance
(symbolized by a coconut),
now how can I look at anyone else?

Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you. ........................

29

0 Lord, With humility I plead to you to listen to my prayer.
My Master, please listen to my plea
and grant me forgiveness.
You are the-protector of the unprotected beings.

Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you. ........................
