Giryah-u zâri, Moti Venti and Salwat Project for Navroz 2008
Golden Jubilee Darbar in Dubai and Golden Noorani Didar in our Foreheads
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 to Friday, March 21, 2008

Spark No. 6 :: Sunday, March 16, 2008

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Ya Ali Madad. I have articulated this project for Navroz 2008 to increase yearning for the Holy Didar of our beloved Noor Mowlana Hazar Imam. The ten postings for this project have the following components: (1) a prayer card for the well being and health our most beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam and his family, the upliftment the global Jamat, global Muslim community, and humanity at large, and the salvation of all departed souls; (2) knowledge about Giryah-u zari; (3) 5-verses of Moti Venti presented sequentially; and (4) angelic salwat. On the most auspicious occasion of the upcoming Idd-e-Navroz of this momentous Golden Jubilee year, may the rays of the Light of our beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam enrich and empower each and every being in different spheres of existence in innumerable ways. Ameen.

Part 1: Prayer Card for the Well-being and Health of the Whole Noorani Family

Let us first declare our noble intentions and then invoke the angelic salwat for exoteric and esoteric purposes:

Ya Ali, Ya NOOR Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Hazar Imam, we pray for:

  1. The well being and health of the whole NOORANI family;
  2. Protection from the elements of dross and darkness;
  3. Sunshine in hearts, Light in our foreheads and the blessing of the inner vision of the Truth;
  4. Mushkil Aasan and material, spiritual & intellectual upliftment of the global Jamat, the global Muslim community and humanity at large;
  5. Salvation of all departed souls;
  6. Empowerment of our children with the correct understanding of our holy faith; and
  7. External and internal peace for the whole humanity.

Part 2: Knowledge Component:

The Fire of Giryah-u zâri: "If it is accepted that the heart, like earth, yields a kind of its own product, then in order to create gardens and meadows of spiritualism, it always needs the water of faith, sincerity and love. If it is said that the heart is as hard as iron, then in order to melt it and make something useful and beauteous out of it, it needs the fire of giryah-u zâri, and real love. If the heart is supposed to be like a thing which needs to be washed over and over again, and if the heart is considered to be the ocean of life and survival and tears are considered as its pearls, then again there is is a need for the same action, i.e., giryah-u zâri, so that a befitting present of the lustrous pearls may be offered to the King of kings (our beloved Mowla).

When the heavy clouds on the shoulders of winds encircling the atmosphere cause it to rain in the spring, then on one hand there is the attractive scene of saturation and freshness in the garden, and on the other hand the beautiful string of shining and flashing pearls of watery drops on the petals of flowers and on the leaves of the trees. This is the best example of the sacred and pure tears which a mu'min shed in the sacred love of the true Imam (our beloved Mowla)." (Source: Studies in Dream and Spiritualism, p.25)

Part 3: Recitation of Selected Verses from Pir Hasan Kabirdin's Moti Venti for Day 6:

Download Shafiq Rawji's: sound track for verses 26-30 of Moti Venti in mp3 format

Eji sâmi puran paribhrahm tamê alak rupi
jugati shu(n) vakhanu(n) tamâri
têj sarupi su(n)dari
karodâ karodaj nâri
mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ
abarâ sharan tamâri
0 Lord, You are the perfect Divine Light in unique form.
How shall I sing the praises of your exquisite beauty?
Light-borne (spiritual) maidens,
in the millions, are your (spiritual) wives.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.
26
Eji sâmi evi nâriyu(n) tâmâri arshniyu(n)
bahu chhê rup apâr
amê to arukhadi arupadi
têni lâj râkhajo bharthâr
mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ
abarâ sharan tamâri
0 Lord, There are plentiful heavenly maidens
who are ravishingly beautiful.
I am naive and not very good looking.
0 my beloved, maintain my prestige.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.
27
Eji sâmi tamârê charanê chit cho(n)ti rahyu(n)
bijâ kênêrê varagu
birad amâro chhê sâmi tamê varo
kshan ma karjorê aragu(n)
mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ
abarâ sharan tamâri
0 Lord, My total concentration is in your service,
so how can I associate with another.
It is my solemn desire that you
welcome me and never let go of me - even for a moment.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.
28
Eji sâmi lâj amâri tamê râkhajo
bijê hâthê kêmrê javâya
tamârâ nâmno nâriyêr âviyo
bijo kêm jovâya
mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ
abarâ sharan tamâri
0 Lord, Have mercy and protect my honour.
How can I associate with a stranger?
I have received the gift of your acceptance
(symbolized by a coconut),
now how can I look at anyone else?
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.
29
Eji âdhin thaine hu(n) vina(n)ti karu(n)
sâmi tamê sâ(m)bharjo karan
ka(n)ik âdhinpanê bakhshajo
sâmi tamê ashârannâ shâran
mahêr karo morâ sâ(n)hiyâ
abarâ sharan tamâri
0 Lord, With humility I plead to you to listen to my prayer.
My Master, please listen to my plea
and grant me forgiveness.
You are the-protector of the unprotected beings.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you.

Part 4: Angelic Salwat

"It is mentioned in verse (33:33): "O you the people of the house (of the Prophet)! Verily Allah intends but to keep off from you (every kind of) uncleanness and purify you with a thorough purification." By the people of the house or ahl-i bayt are meant the holy Prophet himself, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fatimah, Hazrat Hasan and Hazrat Husayn. (Muslim, IV, 1883; Tirmidhi, V, 663)" [Source: Tawil 144: A Thousand Wisdoms]

Now let us recite angelic salwats to invoke Divine grace, mercy and internal purification.
