Twenty Fourth Night of Holy Ramadan :: Monday, October 16, 2006
|
Ya Ali Madad and Ramadan Mubarak! The 24-hour clock the Muslim calendar starts sunset, therefore, Monday, October 16, 2006 is the twenty fourth night of the Holy Ramadan for Ismailis in Canada. This posting for this auspicious twenty fourth night of Holy Ramadan has four parts:
1. Ta'wil of selected words from the Holy Qur'an;
2. A verse from beautiful ginans of our Holy Pirs;
3. A different dhikr tasbi; and
4. A list of pertinent web resources for this project.
Part 1: Tawil of the word 'Ajal' (Haste, speed, hurry)
"It is mentioned in verse (21:37): "Man is created out of haste. Soon I shall show you My signs, so do not ask me to hasten."
The spiritual light and progress of a salik are initially created from the speed of rapid dhikr and stenuous discipline, but when the minor resurrection and its signs (miracles) start to manifest, then many means and causes speak and work automatically." Part 2: Teaching of Pir Hasan Kabirdin
In the following verse from the Ginan,Sayyed Muhammadshah teaches us to love the Imam of time, NOOR Mowlana Hazir Imam:
| Eji |
Sahebji tu(n) more man bhaave
Avar more chint na aave
Duja more man na bhaave
Sahebji tu(n) more man bhaave |
|
| |
O Lord (Master - Imam)! You are dear to my heart (mind),
nothing else cometh to my mind except You.
My heart does not desire anyone else,
O Lord! You alone are my heart's desire.

Part 3 Power Prayers: A Different Dhikr Tasbi for Each Night
The following three aya of the Holy Qur'an (2:155-157) describe the cyclic nature of difficulty and relief from difficulty through the use of the tasbi " 'Innaa lillaahi wa- 'innaaa 'ilayhi raaji-'uunn (Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning)":
"And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided."
For today's session, let us use a bouquet of 'Innaa lillaahi wa- 'innaaa 'ilayhi raaji-'uunn tasbi to overcome spiritual trials such fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and crops, and others which are bound to come into our lives.

Ardent Prayer
May our beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazir Imam, through the knowledge and barakat of the Holy Qur'an, Holy Ginans, Ayatul Kursi, Angelic Salwat and dhikr tasbis, grant the global Jamat luminous (noorani) and spiritual (ruhani) ta'id (help) to advance materially, spiritually and intellectually. May Mowla bestow Sunshine in our hearts, light in our foreheads, and the inner vision of the Truth in our intellects. Ameen.
