Nineteenth Night of Holy Ramadan :: Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Ya Ali Madad and Ramadan Mubarak! The 24-hour clock the Muslim calendar starts sunset, therefore, Wednesday, October 11, 2006 is the nineteenth night of the Holy Ramadan for Ismailis in Canada. This posting for this auspicious nineteenth night of Holy Ramadan has four parts:   1. Ta'wil of selected words from the Holy Qur'an; 2. A verse from beautiful ginans of our Holy Pirs; 3. A different dhikr tasbi; and 4. A list of pertinent web resources for this project.   Part 1: Tawil of the word 'Jalis' (Companion) "Hazrat Musa said: "O my Lord! Are you close so that I may whisper to you? Or are you remote so that I may call to You? He was told: "O Musa! I am the companion of the one who remembers Me." (al-Mu'jam, p. 257)" [Source: Tawil 253: A Thousand Wisdoms] (Page 137) Part 2: Teaching of Pir Hasan Kabirdin In the following verse from Moti Venti, Pir Hasan Kabirdin teaches us that all the sins are forgiven when the remembrance of the Lord becomes continuous within the person's whole being. This means the soul reaches its ultimate purity when a person reaches the stage of constant, automatic remembrance (ajampiya jamp) of the Lord. This incredible definition of forgiveness of sins is from the treasury of the Holy Ginans. These verses of supplication soften, heal and purify the soul, and prepare it for enlightenment.   Part 3 Power Prayers: A Different Dhikr Tasbi for Each Night Noor Mowlana Aga Ali Shah (a.s.) has said that if a person says 40 beads of Pir-Shâh and bestows the benefit to the whole Jamat, then He will reward him/her the benefit of building a Darkhana. Pir refers to the Light of the Holy Prophet (s.a.s) and Shah refers to the Light of Hazrat Ali (a.s.). At present, NOOR Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Hazir Imam (a.s.) holds the rank of Shah and Pir. Therefore, when we call upon our beloved Mowla with Pir Shah tasbi, it is equivalent to calling upon the light of Hazrat Nabi Muhammad Mustafa (s.a.s) and the light of Noor Mowlana Murtaza Ali (a.s.), simultaneously.
