Sixteenth Night of Holy Ramadan :: Sunday, October 8, 2006
|
Ya Ali Madad and Ramadan Mubarak! The 24-hour clock the Muslim calendar starts sunset, therefore, Sunday, October 8, 2006 is the sixteenth night of the Holy Ramadan for Ismailis in Canada. This posting for this auspicious sixteenth night of Holy Ramadan has four parts:
1. Ta'wil of selected words from the Holy Qur'an;
2. A verse from beautiful ginans of our Holy Pirs;
3. A different dhikr tasbi; and
4. A list of pertinent web resources for this project.
Part 1: Tawil of the word 'Ta'maa' (1) (It/he beomes blind)
|
"It is said in verse (22:46): "it is not the eyes that are blind, but blind are the hearts which are in the breasts." The other aspect of this Qur'anic teaching is that in this world there are certain people whose eye of the heart (inner eye) has opened. The inner eye is an extremely important thing with which the wonders and marvels of the personal world and the recognition of all inner bounties can be attained." Part 2: Teaching of Pir Hasan Kabirdin
In the following verse from Moti Venti, Pir Hasan Kabirdin teaches us that there are millions of purified souls in paradise. Therefore, it will be a great challenge for us to be deserving to be present in that congregation. The Holy Pir is teaching us to supplicate to Mowla for forgiveness of our sins and beg for mercy, and become more deserving to be in his Holy Presence.

| 0 Lord, |
Your (spiritual) maidens are innumerable.
There are hundred of thousands like me.
You are the Unknowable (Alakh), the Unseen (Niranjan)
While we are as insignificant as dust.
Have mercy on me, my Lord.
I am helpless and dependent on you. |

Part 3 Power Prayers: A Different Dhikr Tasbi for Each Night
Let us reflect on the wisdom pertaining to the word 'Rahmân' (Most Beneficent, Most Kind):
"It is mentioned in verse (21:107): "And we sent you not but as mercy unto the worlds (personal worlds)." According to Imam Jafar as-Sadiq, by worlds are only meant human beings and human beings are born in all times. Thus, the holy Prophet is made the treasure and centre of mercy or the universal mercy for the cycles of Prophets as well as for the cycle of Imams. Therefore, the holy Prophet, according to his own blessed words, is the chief of Prophets. If someone is truly the leader of his community, then he is chief in word and deed. That is, the true chief is the one who benefits the community in every respect. " [Source: Tawil No. 385, A Thousand Wisdoms]
For today's session, let us use a bouquet of Yâ Rahmân, Yâ Rahim tasbi to appreciate the Lord's kindness and mercy upon the individual personal worlds of all human beings.

Ardent Prayer
May our beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazir Imam, through the knowledge and barakat of the Holy Qur'an, Holy Ginans, Ayatul Kursi, Angelic Salwat, and dhikr tasbis grant the global Jamat luminous (noorani) and spiritual (ruhani) ta'id (help) to advance materially, spiritually and intellectually. May Mowla bestow Sunshine in our hearts, light in our foreheads, and the inner vision of the Truth in our intellects. Ameen.
Peace, barakat, light, taid, and a 'golden noorani didar',
Noorallah Juma
