Tenth Night of Holy Ramadan :: Monday, October 2, 2006
|
Ya Ali Madad and Ramadan Mubarak! The 24-hour clock the Muslim calendar starts sunset, therefore, Monday, October 2, 2006 is the tenth night of the Holy Ramadan for Ismailis in Canada. This posting for this auspicious tenth night of Holy Ramadan has four parts:
1. Ta'wil of selected words from the Holy Qur'an;
2. A verse from beautiful ginans of our Holy Pirs;
3. A different dhikr tasbi; and
4. A list of pertinent web resources for this project.
Part 1: Tawil of the words 'Dhikran kathira' (Abundant dhikr, to remember abundantly)
"In verses (33:41-42) God commands: "O you who believe! Remember Allah abundantly, and purify Him morning and evening. He it is Who sends blessings on you, and His Angels, that He may bring you forth from darknesses (of negligence) unto light (of remembrance and knowledge). He is merciful to the believers." This command is particularly for the cycle of resurrection." [Source: Tawil 362: A Thousand Wisdoms] (Page 196)

The above is also a great explanation for angelic salwat. I have elaborated on this through the first 14 postings of the angelic salwat project. You are welcome to download this document in pdf format from our website. The URL is given in part 4 of this posting.
Part 2: Teaching of Sayyada Imambegum
In the following verses of ginan, Hardam karo abhiyaas, Sayyada Imambegum advises us to be engaged in seeking divine knowledge and enlightening our soul by advancing ourselves to the state of 'Ajampiya jaamp', i.e., to a state where our 'bol' or the 'name of Lord' speaks by itself. This state can also be described as continuous silent remembrance within oneself.

Brahm ginan maa(n)he hardam rahejo ji

| O Brother |
Always remain engrossed in the divine knowledge
and contemplate on yourself. |

In the heart which has continuous silent remembrance
(unpronouced zikr), that heart will be enlightened. |

Please follow this link (http://www.salmanspiritual.com/ramadan_ginans/ginan_10.html) to see the text and the literal translation of the other verses of this ginan. These verses of supplication soften, heal and purify the soul, and prepare it for enlightenment.
Part 3 Power Prayers: A Different Dhikr Tasbi for Each Night
"It is said in a Hadith: "O Ali you are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that after me there will be no Prophet." This is an unanimously accepted Hadith (Bukhari, V, Delhi, 47: Cairo, V, 24)" [Source: Tawil No. 941, A Thousand Wisdoms]
"It is said in a Hadith: "The word wazir is derived from wizr, meaning burden and hence wazir mean the one who carries the burden. This means that just as Hazrat Harun was carrying the burden of spirituality and luminosity (i.e. ta'wil) of the Torah, Mawla Ali was carrying the burden of spirit and spirituality and light and luminosity (i.e. ta'wil) of the Qur'an and still does so in the form of the present attire (jamah-yi hazir) of Imamat, i.e. the present Imam" [Source: Tawil No. 943, A Thousand Wisdoms]
Therefore, for today's session, let us use a bouquet of Yâ Nur, Yâ Hâdi tasbi to invoke our beloved Mowla for the continual guidance through his NOOR (Light).
A'uzu billahi minashaitanir rajim
I seek refuge in Allah from the outcast Satan.
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Ardent Prayer
May our beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazir Imam, through the knowledge and barakat of the Holy Qur'an, Holy Ginans, Ayatul Kursi, Angelic Salwat, and dhikr tasbis grant the global Jamat luminous (noorani) and spiritual (ruhani) ta'id (help) to advance materially, spiritually and intellectually. May Mowla bestow Sunshine in our hearts, light in our foreheads, and the inner vision of the Truth in our intellects. Ameen.
Peace, barakat, light, taid, and a 'golden noorani didar',
Noorallah Juma
