Anant Akhado and Anant Naa Nav Chhuga Recitation & Dhikr Project for Idd-e-Navroz
(Project Duration: 49-days from February 1 to March 21, 2006)

Background of Anant Akhado and Anant Naa Nav Chhuga

The granths 'Anant Akhado' and 'Anant Naa Nav Chhuga' consists of 500 and 90 verses, respectively and were composed by Pir Hasan Kabirdin (r.a), the son of Pir Sadardin (r.a.). The great Pir Hasan Kabirdin was an extremely humble soul who perfected his art of giriyauzari (shedding tears of loved for the Holy Imam of the time). His verses are extremely moving and melt the heart and the soul.

According to an oral tradition among members of the Jamat, it is said that NOOR Mowlana Imam Ali Shah (a.s) responded to some murids who were facing extreme difficulties by saying "Recite the whole Anant Akhado over a period of 40 days and your difficulties will be solved". Accordingly, there are a number of members of the Jamat who take on a vow to complete this granth over a period of 40 days. Many members have tangible proof of the utility of this practice.

Niyat (intention) and Goal of this Project

The niyat of this global project is to present a nazrana of the recitation of 500 verses of Anant Akhado, 90 verses of Anant Naa Nav Chhuga and a bouquet of 99 dhikr tasbis derived from Allah's Beautiful Names ('Asmaaa-'ul-Husnaa) to our beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam on the occasion of Idd-e-Navroz. The goal of this project is to create Sunshine in the hearts of all murids of the global Jamat.

The 40 day / 49 day Period

The motivation for this 40-day project for recitation of Anant Akhado and 9 days for reciting the Anant Naa Nav Chhuga projects is the following hadith of the Holy Prophet: "Whoever worships God sincerely for 40 days, God opens his heart, expands his chest and loosens his tongue to speak with wisdom even though he may be very weak in speaking and understanding." (Ahadith-i Mathnawi, p. 196). The project will start on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 and end on Tuesday, Idd-e-Navroz, March 21, 2006. The 49 days also correspond to the our 49th Holy Imam and 49 years of his glorious Imamat.

Ardent Prayer

May our beloved NOOR Mowlana Hazar Imam, through the barakat of recitation of Anant Akhado and dhikr tasbis derived from 99 Divine Names by many individuals, grant you, your family, your Jamat and the worldwide Jamat luminous (noorani) and spiritual (ruhani) tayid (help) to advance materially, spiritually and intellectually. May Mowla bestow Sunshine in your heart and bless you with the inner vision of the Truth. Ameen.

I welcome your participation, comments and suggestions.

Peace, barakat, light, tayid, and a 'golden noorani didar',
